Retired Baptist Ministers Housing Organisation

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria

As a charity, RBMHO’s objective is to provide help for retired Baptist ministers and missionaries and their spouses who are in necessitous circumstances. This means that applicants must be established as not having access to other accommodation, nor the means to provide housing for themselves. The eligibility rules also stipulate that ministerial applicants must normally have served a minimum of 15 years as a BUGB Accredited Minister, or as a Regionally Recognised minister with one of the Associations. The Organisation also houses missionaries who have served the BMS World Mission overseas for at least 15 years. If we have sufficient resources we will also consider housing a minister who has not been accredited or recognised buit has served a minimum of 20 years as minister of BUGB churches.

It is not expected that the Organisation will help until the state pension age is reached unless there are extenuating circumstances. The Trustees are able to use discretion to look at the applicants individual situation.
